Welcome to Torah Morah

I have been a teacher for more than thirty years.  Since 1993 I have been teaching Hebrew and preparing children and adults for Bar and Bat Mitzvah ceremonies.

As a Bar and Bat Mitzvah teacher I have planned and developed programs and educational goals, as well as unique teaching methods for my students. 

My goal is to encourage a love and respect for Judaism, promoting a sense of accomplishment and pride in each student.   Achieving the objectives of leading a service, or part of a service, chanting the Maftir and Haftarah , understanding and relating to the Parashah  are all part of the journey.   The process of  establishing these  goals and completing the program is a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience to be cherished and used as a stepping stone for the future.    

My individualized audio visual system has helped all my students achieve their goals.  I  tailor each plan according to respective requirements of the synagogues to which students belong and the rabbis.   

BACKGROUND:

I am a Sabra who has lived in Israel and and currently resides in the United States.  I acquired my B.A. and Teaching Degree at  the University of Haifa, in Haifa, Israel.  I am fluent in both English and Hebrew.

I have been a teacher in both countries since 1974, after my military service in the  IDF. 

I have been a Hebrew School teacher, and principal of a Hebrew School in the New York Hudson Valley,  since 1993. 

Currently I have my own pulpit in Orange County, NY and have been leading services since 2004.
